WHERE AND WHAT TO EAT

Cuba's reputation in the culinary sphere might be a bit tarnished, and in for many it's narrowed down to rice, black beans and Yucca root. Never the less, there are some delicate dishes – lobster for example is a pretty inexpensive seadfood in Cuba.

In Cuba you find something called Paladar, where the restaurant is situated in the homes of people. The rules have been pretty strict regarding number of tables, who's allowed to own it and so forth, but lately the rules has become less strict.

PALADAR LA GUARIDA

This is the most famous Paladar in Cuba, where many famous people has dined through the years. The building was made famous by being depicted in the movie "Fresa y chocolate". They offer a varied cuisine in an appealing environment.

CASA MIGLIS – A SWEDISH RESTAURANT IN CARIBBEAN

Not too long ago, rules were changed regarding owning restaurants in Cuba, which brought this restaurant to life. A mix of Swedish and Greek cuisine.

EL ATELIER

For the art hanging on the walls alone, you could pay this place a visit – it leaves no one untouched. The food is excellent, goes under the description experimental fusion. Do follow the address strictly, because it's easy to walk by, being discreetly signposted. However, I don't think it's a restaurant I would make an effort to revisit.

I've marked out a few other places on the map, will add some comments about them when time permits.
